According to Business Wire, Inter-Con, a global security firm, faces a lawsuit for failing to pay current and former employees for required pre-shift overtime work and violating state and federal laws. The class consists of about 2,000 security guards in CA and there is possibility of more throughout other states. The lawsuit seeks an injunction that would require Inter-Con to pay overtime wages and compensation for all current and former employees who were denied overtime pay in CA.

What if I know that Inter-Con Security is telling someone that they don't have workers compensation and that they told the person to file they self and over the internet? Would if I told you that the person got hurt on October 11, 2006 and has not received any payment and when she delievered the forms for Disabiltiy to EDD they told her that her job was suppose file the paper work within 24 hrs. of the incident and they didn't. This person still is not receiveing anything or getting any help from the security company. She even had a hard time from someone in the HR of the company to help her file out the forms. She even was Told on the 20th of this month (October on Friday) that she was not to come into the office and not to keep calling them because they can not help, also the person was very rude to her. She then turn around and called EDD and they told her that it was against the law for any company to not have workers comp and that they was suppose to help her since she got on the job. She received the disability papers and handed to U.S. Healthworks next to her job and as she went to picked them up on Tuesday the doctor told her that they was not allowed to filled out the forms, but she explained to them of the situation and they signed it and filled it out. She did have an appointment with a lawyer this past Wednesday (October 25, 2006) but she could not make it because she takes care of her mother. She pays most of the bills and she is head of the household, she needs to know what to do. Feeling Betrayed
